Biography
Dr. Colleen English is an associate professor of kinesiology at Penn State Berks. Her research focuses on philosophic and historical perspectives of sport. In particular, Dr. English is interested in feminist studies of competition. From a historical perspective, she is interested in women's middle and long distance running at the Olympics and the development of roller derby.
Dr. English teaches courses related to the philosophic and historical dimensions of kinesiology, including meaning, ethics and movement and the socio-cultural dynamics of kinesiology.
